Summer Weddings
Time to catch you up on all the Summer yummies I've been making over here. The list is crazy long so I'm going to split it up into a few separate posts. Things are still crazy busy here, so tutorials are still on hold for now. If you are looking for a certain tutorial or details on how I made a certain cookies/cake - shoot me a message and I'd be happy to help!
Lets start with Summer Weddings! Wow, this Summer has been especially beautiful in our area, just perfect for those outdoor weddings. These cookies were designed to match the bridal shower invitation designed by Cloud 9 Dezign. The watercolor details were hand painted using Americolor Gel Food Coloring thinned down with water.
The next wedding set is actually a copy of a set I did a few years back in blue and pink. But this time - it's PURPLE!
I was asked to make this white seashell cake inspired by High Five Cakes beautiful cake. Although mine can't compare to the original, I'm just in love with my new seashell molds purchased from A Cake to Remember. Just look at the details on the starfish! Must make more seashell goodies!!! It was a cloudy day and the color is a bit off, but this beauty was white white with white shells. I believe the bride bought the chairs for $1 at Michaels.
Ok, ok. These aren't actually wedding cookies, but they could be! First time I've ever been asked to make any art deco treats. I would love to do a Great Gatsby set in the future.

Sleepy Safari Baby Shower Cookies
These sleepy safari animal baby cookies were designed using the baby shower invitation provided as inspiration. I was asked to add lions to the mix. The baby animals are hand painted using Americolor gel food coloring.

Garden Party Cookies
Florals in peaches, pinks and purples topped off with gold accents and edible glitter! I am in love. This floral set could easily be adapted for so many events; bridal showers, birthdays, weddings...
The flower accents are made from royal icing. To acheive the semi watercolor finish, I brushed on coordinating food color diluted with water. The edible glitter (aka sparkle) is 100% edible FDA approved Jewel Dust.

All The Pretty Things
Pink, Purple, Gold, Floral, Ribbon, and Lace.... Loving making these beautiful treats!
Let's start with this lovely blush, gold and floral cake. Definitely in my top 10 faves. Just so feminine and beautiful. Inside: White cake with white chocolate whipped ganache.
Next a simple, wintery wedding cake. With hand piped lace (using royal icing) on the top tier, finished off with navy ribbon and a crystal broach. The perfect little wedding cake.
Last but definitely NOT least: Purple, purple and....more PURPLE! Oh and I threw in a little gold and pink too. How to make the monogram cookies: pipe one million little royal icing flowers and let dry. I don't know which ones are my favorite - the floral monogram, the watercolor monogram. So pretty!!!!
