A little bit of this...and a little bit of that.

A whole month without a single blog post!  Wow how time flies when I'm not on the computer - hehe  So...what have I been up to?  I've been enjoying this beautiful Spring (feels more like Summer lately) weather.  Preparing the yard, planting, and enjoying those sunny days with my little ones.  And in between I managed to make a few batches of cookies.  Going into June, I don't expect to have many posts, but I'm sure you don't mind since you'll probably be outdoors enjoying the weather too!

As promised on my fb page, I will have a giveaway this month, so be sure to check back once in a while!  While you're waiting, have a look at the cookies I worked on in May, hope you like them!
If you are turning 80, you definitely deserve bright, fun cookies!  These guys were made to match the napkins they were using for the party.

These baby shower cookies were for a friend of mine who was having a co-baby shower.  The ladies wanted pink, purple, elephants and hippos (I'm especially fond of the wonderfully squishy looking hippo).  Unfortunately, I couldn't be there to celebrate with her, but I hope they had a wonderful day and congrats on their soon to be little girls.

Batter up!  Now for the boys: Baseball (more specifically New York Yankees) baby shower cookies.

Feeling a little bit country?  Fun little cowboy boots tied with twine.

For the Disney princess silhouette cookies, I made royal icing transfers - the trick is to make sure the transfer stays flat while drying, otherwise the little limbs will break off when you attach it to the cookie.  Imagine all the characters you could do!  For this group we had Ariel, Cinderella, Jasmine, Rapunzel, Aurora, Belle and Snow White.

I get asked to do white coats all. the. time.  As a matter of fact, I'm making more this week!

Tinkerbell and the Neverbeast Coloring book cookies.  I can get specific, real specific.

Oops!  There were Care Bear Coloring Book cookies too, but I um...forgot to take a photo.  Oh well.  Enjoy this pic of my little guy working on the leftovers!

"Creature report.  Creature report..."  Octonauts ...hmm...I don't know their names.  My kids watched it for a bit when they were smaller, but I did not retain that information.

Grown men have birthdays too.  ...but, that doesn't mean they can't enjoy cookie pops!  Some wonderfully sudsy beer mugs for the birthday boy man.

Last, but not least, lots o' PINK "Breakfast at Tiffany's", Audrey Hepburn Sweet 16 cookies.   Instead of the traditional Tiffany's blue, she asked for pink, pink and more pink, but with some classy black mixed in.  The standing Audreys are royal icing transfers and the sitting ones are hand painted.
