Pumpkin Patch Fun!

It's my favorite time of year!  That means we'll be making some visits to the pumpkin patches.  Here are a few of my favorites:

Wendels Farm
East Concord, NY

My favorite!  It's a small pumpkin patch, but it is always FREE!  They run hayrides on the weekends for around $2 (as I recall there is a grandparent discount too :) and Wanda the witch rides with you.  The best part is the kids get an ear of corn to feed the cows - what fun!  They also have a store with Maple Syrup and Chicken Bar-B-Que available.  There is popcorn and cider for $1 or less and candy apples.

For the kiddos there is also a fun pumpkin washing station.  My daughter really gets a kick out of scrubbing those pumpkins.  There pumpkin prices are usually very reasonable.

The Great Pumpkin Farm
Clarence, NY

Weekend Admission $5.00 per person, under 3 FREE (includes FREE hayride)
*Discount tickets are available at Wegmans*
Every weekend in October has different events.  Go here to see what's happening.

Weekdays are FREE!  The Farm activities are NOT open, but there is plenty to do for free.  The store is open with a few animatronic spooky things to look at.  The pumpkin patch is open and they have some fun displays.  The animals are out and the kids can feed them (bring quarters for food) and the train and playsets are open.  They also have a bakery and candy store.  Cider, cookies and cupcakes are $1 each.

Note: Pumpkins are pricey at this location; $0.40/lb, but they have some LARGE ones to choose from.

Becker Farms
Gasport, NY

Pumpkin Fiesta Admission: $7.00 for kids and $5.00 for adults.  Haunted Hayrides $9.00.

Weekdays are FREE!  *Limited activities available during the week.  They have u-pick pumpkins, a play area (with several sets) for kids, farm animals and fish.  You can purchase food for the animals or fish inside the store.  Pony rides and hay rides are an additional charge.  They also have a Brewery onsite for the parents to enjoy!
