Weddings, Weddings

I kicked off June with several weddings.  Never two the same - here's a look at the wedding cookies I worked on this past month.

These place card cookies were for my father's wedding.  Each cookie place card had the guest's name hand painted with black food coloring.

Do you remember this skull cake from earlier in the year?  My dear friends decided to have their reception a few months later in the Summer, so they requested I make some coordinating cookies for the event.

I decided to split the parts of the cake into individual cookies.  We have burgundy and black rose cookies.  'Til Death Do Us Part piped cookies with a bit of copper dust brushed on the edges.  The black lace cookies were done using the wet on wet method.  Last but not least, the bride and groom skulls are painted in black food coloring with royal icing hat and flowers.
I wish I could have been at this wedding, look at all the colors!  These bow ties that accompanied the Mr & Mr cookies were done to match the groomsmen bow ties and the other colors were pulled from the bridesmaids dress colors.

While I've done bachelorette cookies similar to these before, I also got a chance to make these mini bustier cookies.  I just love pink and black together.
